PEMBELAJARAN PADA SAAT PANDEMI: PERAN METAKOGNISI DALAM HUBUNGAN STUDENT AUTONOMY DENGAN STUDENT ENGAGEMENT MAHASISWA TAHUN PERTAMA

Abstract


Kegiatan pembelajaran online pada masa pandemi covid-19 tidaklah mudah. Selain menghadapi situasi pembelajaran yang baru, sebagian besar mahasiswa tahun pertama merasa tidak siap dengan pembelajaran online karena situasi lingkungan sekitar yang kurang kondusif untuk kegiatan belajar mengajar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat bagaimana peran metakognisi dalam hubungan student autonomy dengan student engagement pada mahasiswa tahun pertama. Penelitian ini melibatkan 120 orang mahasiswa tahun pertama yang mengikuti pembelajaran online, yang terdiri dari 95 orang mahasiswi dan 25 orang mahasiswa dengan rentang usia 17 sampai 22 tahun. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan Autonomous Learning Scale (ALS), Student Course Engagement Questionnaire (SCEQ) dan Metacognitive Awareness Inventory (MAI). Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan program Jeffreys’s Amazing Statistic Program (JASP) versi 0.16.2.0.  Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa terdapat efek mediasi metakognisi secara parsial terhadap hubungan student autonomy dengan student engagement yang signifikan.
