Silalahi is an active lecturer in the English Language and Culture study program at Bunda Mulia University. He has received several National Research Grants. His articles have also been published in several reputable national and international journals. One of the highest achievements he has ever achieved is being the best contributor from Indonesia in the Ontario International Development Agencies.
