Therefore, it is very important for invitees and invited guests to understand the content of Chinese wedding invitations. The results of the analysis stated, in general, Chinese wedding invitations in three regions of Indonesia have the same mandatory and optional elements. The mandatory elements contained in Chinese wedding invitations are related to information about wedding receptions, but due to differences in wedding customs in each region, the elements mandatory can also change; while the existence of the element of choice is influenced by religion, eating habits, and western cultural influences. In addition, the survey states that the Chinese ethnicity using Mandarin wedding invitations is decreasing, the percentage of people that are willing to use Mandarin wedding invitations is the highest for the Singkawang Chinese, while the lowest is the Jakarta Chinese.
