Abstract


Information in internet not only brought profound changes to people's daily life, but also had a huge impact on modern Chinese. The new idiom appears recently in internet become the new darling of the young daily interactions. Its popularity worthy of our study, its development and innovation are worth learning from. We can get a comprehensive undertanding of this new idioms by analysis its composition and origin, and by compare it with the traditional idioms, four-letter word idioms, and acronyms. The analysis of the new idioms that appears in internet can make people rethinking about the standarization of language and its influence to the development of modern Chinese.
