KONSTRUKSI MASKULINITAS PADA KOMIK MANGA INDONESIA DI WEBTOON

Abstract


Manga memberikan ruang kreasi, imajinasi serta harapan para penulis serta pembaca wanita dalam menuangkan konsep maskulinitas tentang posisi imajiner pria. Dalam aplikasi Webtoon, komik manga mempunyai popularitas yang cukup tinggi dari berbagai negara, salah satunya adalah Indonesia. Komik populer Indonesia yang berjudul Pasutri Gaje, mengkontruksi idealisme maskulintas melalui visual naratif, sehingga pesan imajiner tokoh pria dihadirkan dengan bentuk-bentuk yang baru dan populer. Studi ini menggunakan analisis wacana dengan memeriksa serta membongkar melalui teks-teks yang hadir dalam komik. Temuan dalam studi ini yakni, visualisasi tokoh pria maskulin lebih mendekati pada konsep kawaii-nisme (cantik) dan bihosen (pria cantik) sebagai idelisme postur pria. Melalui pemeriksaan terhadap teks memperlihatkan premis-premis penting yang menjadi hasrat aneh dan sensualitas dapat dieksplorasi. Istilah "pria cantik" digambarkan melalui visual yang terfokus, dengan panel besar, berdiorama, membangun sensualitas pada pria maskulin manga. Sedangkan imajiner maskulinitas sebagai harapan penulis serta pembaca wanita tertuang melalui sikap dan sifat yang sangat lembut, hal ini membangun kolektifitas tentang interpretasi maskulin dalam manga.
