INVESTIGATION AND ANALYSIS ON THE CURRENT SITUATION OF CHINESE TEACHING IN TOURISM VOCATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL – TAKE REX MUNDI TOURISM VOCATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL IN JAKARTA AS AN EXAMPLE
Abstract
Tourism Vocational Chinese education is not only that teachers use more practical, flexible and dynamic teaching skills to teach Chinese in the teaching process, so that students can use authentic Chinese in the workplace for communication and exchange, but also that students refer to an in-depth study of tourism business, history and culture.This paper focuses on the principal, Chinese teachers, and students of Rex Mundi tourism vocational high school in Jakarta. Through field observation, literature research, interview, and questionnaire survey, the author make a detailed investigation and analysis. The research questions are mainly from the aspects of Tourism Vocational Chinese teaching background, curriculum, Chinese teaching materials, students, and teachers' Chinese teaching situation. Although there are still some deficiencies in the Rex Mundi tourism vocational high school in Jakarta, it is undeniable that this school also has its characteristics and market, which has made a great contribution to Indonesian Chinese education and provided a good learning environment for Tourism Vocational Chinese.
