ANALYSIS ON THE DIFFERENCES OF 60 JIAZI CIAMSI (CASE STUDY ON JAKARTA DHARMA JAYA TOASEBIO TEMPLE)

Abstract


Signing poems has a long history and is still popular today. In the historical era, it still remains in many temples. This proves that its existence value cannot be underestimated, and it also contains a Chinese tradition and cultural heritage behind it. Therefore, this graduation thesis is based on the analysis of the 60 Jiazi signed poems from the Vihara Dharma Jaya Toasebio in Jakarta, Indonesia. According to the research results, the form and content of the signing poems by the temple are different from Liushijiazi. The difference is the misunderstanding of the text, which can be divided into: words and sentences have the same meaning, words and sentences are different, the meanings of the words are opposite, the characters are similar and corrupt, and the pronunciation is similar but incorrect, ancient and modern meaning of characters, different word order and rewriting of the entire sentence. Relevant research can provide reference for the temple authorities to avoid confusion in the interpretation of signing poems.
