As we all know, with the development of China's economy and the increasingly close economic and trade cooperation between China and Indonesia, more and more Chinese people come to Indonesia, especially Jakarta. The Chinese who came to Indonesia were influenced by the religion of the Indonesians, so many Chinese also began to come to places of worship to participate in religious activities, and began to look for places of worship that use Chinese. Concerned about this, many Chinese churches also pay more attention to the translation quality of bilingual worship services and strive to train excellent interpreters. This study mainly investigates the interpretation of prayers in the worship service of the Mandarin Church of the Church of Jesus Christ (Mangga Besar). By observing the prayer sessions in the church’s worship services, the most commonly used interpretation techniques by interpreters are ellipsis (30.35%), literal translation (28.01%), and addition (24.9%). In addition, the most common interpretation errors in interpreting prayers are misinterpretations (48.5%), missing interpretations (24.5%), and wrong sentences (14%).
