In following research, subject of the research is Chinese Comprehensive whereas semester 4 undergraduate students will be the object of the research. In comparing traditional and multimedia way of teaching, analysis of teaching methods, questionnaire and interview will be thoroughly examined. In overall, result of research concludes that multimedia teaching is more effective in comparison to traditional way of teaching. However, considering final grade of students, 4PBC1 class in particular achieved better grade in traditional teaching method class in comparison to multimedia teaching method, while it was the other way around for 4PBC2 class. Effectiveness of these two teaching methods are closely related to students personality, lecture presentation skill and student language capability.
In addition, analysis on recent Chinese Comprehensive multimedia teaching was also included in questionnaire. In conclusion, it shows student’s high satisfaction towards time management during lecture, lecture material preparation and also available multimedia equipment. In summary, it was proven that traditional and multimedia teaching methods had their own advantages and disadvantages. In practice, we believed that combination of traditional and multimedia teaching methods in Chinese Comprehensive would be more effective and efficient rather than employing one of them.
