Asymmetry study ， also called asymmetry research ， refers to the antonyms in antisense meaning field in meanings，formation and pragmatic frequency is not equal ， thus formed the antonym asymmetrical phenomenon. This paper aimed to study aspects of asymmetry description and comparison of the antonyms “ duo ” ( 多 ) and “ shao ”（少） from the synchronic and diachronic. From synchronic description and comparison of lexical and syntactic level, it is concluded that “ duo ”“ shao ” and the word formation in vocabulary level the overall characteristics of asymmetry, the “duo” and “shao” do different syntactic constituents present a number of symmetrical and asymmetrical, and both on the syntactic level has both symmetry and asymmetry. Form the semantic description and comparison of diachronic evolution level, the original meaning of “duo” and “shao” are the most frequently used, and the meaning of “duo” “shao” semantic shift is different.
